# Inboxapp FAQ

> Quick answers about Inboxapp: supported platforms, running in the cloud, account safety, teammates, pricing, free trial, and AI tools.

Inboxapp is a shared inbox and CRM for your direct messages. You reply to every conversation from one place and track contacts with statuses, tags, and notes.

## Getting started

    X (including XChat) and LinkedIn today. Gmail, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram,
    and iMessage are coming between the end of 2026 and Q1 2027. See

  <Accordion title="Do I need to keep my browser open?">
    No. You sign in to X or LinkedIn in Chrome once to [link your
    account](/help/get-started/link-accounts). After that, Inboxapp runs in the
    cloud.

  <Accordion title="Does Inboxapp work with XChat?">
    Yes. Encrypted XChat conversations on X sync into Inboxapp like any other DM.
    If Inboxapp asks for your XChat PIN, enter it once. See [XChat and your
    PIN](/help/platforms/x/xchat).

  <Accordion title="Can I link more than one account?">
    Basic includes one account per platform, so one X and one LinkedIn account.
    Pro includes unlimited linked accounts. See [Manage linked

  <Accordion title="Do people know I'm using Inboxapp?">
    No. Messages are sent from your own X or LinkedIn account, exactly as if you'd
    sent them on the platform.

  <Accordion title="Do I need the Chrome extension?">
    Only to link an account. If it isn't installed, Inboxapp asks you to install
    it and detects it automatically.

  <Accordion title="Does Inboxapp have an API?">
    Yes. Every plan includes the API, webhooks, and an MCP server. See [Automate

  <Accordion title="Can I use Inboxapp with AI tools?">
    Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Cursor to your inbox to find who needs
    a reply, draft messages, and update contacts. See [Connect AI

## Teams and security

  <Accordion title="Can teammates manage my account?">
    Yes, on Pro. Teammates work the same inbox from their own computers, and you
    can assign conversations to them. See [Invite
    teammates](/help/account/invite-teammates).

  <Accordion title="Is my account safe?">
    Inboxapp connects to your account the same way you normally sign in, through an integration or the Chrome extension. Your conversations sync to Inboxapp and are only visible to your team.

    * **You stay in control.** Unlink an account at any time from **Settings → Accounts**, and ask us to delete your data.
    * **Removing a teammate is instant.** They lose access to your accounts right away.
    * **Every message is traceable.** Inboxapp records which teammate sent each message.

## Plans and billing

    Every new workspace starts with a 7-day free trial. Basic pricing is on
    [inboxapp.com/pricing](https://inboxapp.com/pricing), and Pro has custom

  <Accordion title="What's the difference between Basic and Pro?">
    Basic is for personal use: one seat and one linked account per platform. Pro
    is for teams and sales at scale: unlimited seats and accounts, team
    collaboration, lead generation, and automations. See

  <Accordion title="Is there a referral program?">
    Yes. When a friend signs up through your link and pays, you get a free month
    of Basic. Your friend gets one too when their team is on Basic. See [Invite
