# What happens when a lead replies

> Replies stop the sequence for that lead and move them to the Replied stage automatically.

When a lead replies to a campaign message:

* They leave the active sequence — no further automated follow-ups
* They move to the **Replied** stage
* You continue the conversation in the inbox
