# Set up Inboxapp

> Connect X, confirm DM sync, and personalize your Inboxapp workspace.

For teams getting started with Inboxapp; you need Chrome and an X account.

1. [Install the Chrome extension and link your X account](/help/account/how-to-add-an-x-twitter-account-to-inboxapp). Linking starts the initial DM sync.
2. If prompted, [enter your XChat PIN](/help/getting-started-with-inboxapp/what-is-xchat-and-how-use-it-with-our-platform). This lets Inboxapp sync XChat DMs.
3. [Confirm your DMs are syncing](/help/getting-started-with-inboxapp/how-inboxapp-syncs-your-dms-and-what-to-expect). You can read and organize messages while the sync continues.
4. [Personalize statuses and tags](/help/getting-started-with-inboxapp/personalize-inboxapp-to-your-needs). Your workspace is ready for lead lists and outreach.
